Jackson Park Report: A Year of Changes in 2024

by Bo Lewis

General Manager, Jackson Park Golf Course

Jackson Park has seen a lot of change already in 2024, and we hope it has served you and the JPMGC membership in a positive way.

Starting in February as the new General Manager, I had the opportunity to evaluate customer comments, address facility needs and learn about our golf community with a fresh perspective. I was delighted to be welcomed by so many caring and considerate golfers, who all want to see Jackson Park continue to shine!

We began work with our own internal operations, to ensure consistent, positive customer service. Next steps included reshaping our merchandising, relocating our counter and streamlining services around our facility, to open things up and provide new spaces to gather.

Improvements continue in the Café, with upgrades to the kegerator and service areas–and a new coffee maker! Café projects in May/June will bring new carpet tile flooring in the dining area, as well as new tables and chairs.

The driving range now has Toptracer in every stall, and we continue to evaluate our needs to ensure the range stays in top condition all year long. We are investing in instruction programs, clinics and group offerings, as well as fitting services and demo days in partnership with our vendors.

Last, but certainly not least, we all notice and appreciate the improvements to the golf course. Superintendent Jon Fulmer and his crew have been working diligently on several projects, from tee boxes to greens, irrigation to limbing, drainage to egress, and the proof is in the playing!

We hope you enjoy your golf and time spent at Jackson Park–it is the goal of our staff to make our facility a premier Seattle golf experience.
